I'm published!

Finally I got over my procrastination issues and wrote up two crochet square patterns that I had recently created, all on my own!  They are titled By Chance and On Target Square - I am now a Ravelry Designer!

I'm pretty excited, and even though these two particular patterns are free, maybe one day I just might come up with something that might bring in a few bucks!

Mind-Numbingness...

I have discovered a new therapy, something to do when I want something completely mindless and mind-numbing --> untangling yarn.

I've recently gotten (addicted to) into dyeing yarn, and had a couple of skein of Katia Papiro (cotton/linen blend) that were perfect for a swappee of mine (she's vegan, so no wool). I had a couple of tie dye kits from Walmart, and figured what a cool project to do! After dyeing, I had to wash the skeins in hot water in the washer - lesson learned hard way, use bags if doing more than one skein at a time; otherwise, they get tangled up together! Anyway, long story short, I haven't been able to take the time at home to get them untangled (especially after my son decided to run around the house with them!), so I brought them into work with me today (on a Saturday).

I got the first skein untangled and wound up in about 2hrs...woo hoo! And now I'm working on the second, hoping to get it done within the next hour or so before I leave work (probably would help if I wasn't on the computer typing this blog!), so that when I get home I can wind it up onto my swift and put it into pretty hanks! It's amazing what can be done in a couple of hours with no kids or animals around!

My First Blog EVER & thoughts on Oobi...

I normally don't have time for things like this, but here it is, 0100 on a Sunday morning and I'm awake...so is my son, and we are watching Oobi on Noggin/Nick Jr.

For those of you who have never seen it, it's kinda creepy and fascinating, all at once! They use hands with eyeballs and hair as puppets! I remember doing that as a kid (without the eyeballs and hair)...

And while writing this, my first blog ever, my son has falle back to sleep...think I'm going to go crawl back into bed myself...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
